With a frame crafted from American White Oak & High Quality Real Oak Veneer, this ottoman bed is sturdy and durable. The central inset panel of the headboard and footboard are made from MDF for structural purposes, as well as a real oak veneer that ensures an even tone across the whole bed frame. The Wimbledon Natural Oak Ottoman Storage Bed is also finished with a lightweight clear lacquer to enhance the natural grain of the oak and protect it throughout its lifetime.
For environmental, efficiency and aesthetic purposes, our bed frames are constructed from individual lengths of solid oak that are finger-jointed together. We then use a high quality real oak veneer which is made from 0.6mm slices cut directly from American white oak trees and is bonded to the oak bed frame to ensure consistency in the grain and colour. The base of the storage area consists of 3 removable panels made from Rubberwood. These panels are optional and designed to protect your flooring. They also provide ease of access and cleaning of the under-bed storage area. These panels are simply placed on top of your floor and are not fixed in position, as a result there is no weight limit for the items that you can store underneath your bed frame.
